Lucille Starr Death – Dead | Obituary – Passed Away
Lucille Starr Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Lucille Starr.
I am so deeply saddened by the passing of Lucille Starr Canadian Legend and our FIRST Woman Superstar, on September 4. Such a sweet and beautiful lady, even though she had alot of medical issues the last few years she was always a bright star. She smiled, joked and giggled still. I am so blessed I got to visit her in her home in Las Vegas. What a thrill for me. RIP and sing with the Angels sweet Lady. She read her bible every day and it was never far from her side. She was my mentor, and the only reason I sing in French & English today.
RIP Lucille Starr. She passed on, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the early morning hours of September 4, 2020.
To me, she is Canadian Royalty. Lucille was the first Canadian female vocalist to sell a million records for her recording of “The French Song” produced by Herb Albert. In 1963 she signed a record deal with A&M in Los Angeles and with Epic Records in Nashville in 1967.
Any time I had the opportunity to be around her she was bigger than life with a wonderful laugh and so beautiful and down to earth. She is one of our great Canadians who has left behind a wonderful legacy. My condolences to her family and friends.
RIP Lucille Starr! I met you one time only. I was in awe and amazed to be in the presence of what I considered to be Canadian Music Royalty. You invited me to visit you in Las Vegas and kept in touch with me off and on. We Joked about a tour together. It never happened.. not meant to be- I am sure grateful to have gotten to meet you though.
My condolences to your family and all who loved and admired you!
