LSU professor, Norimoto Murai dies in bicycle accident in Baton Rouge, LA

Norimoto Murai Death – Cause of Death : 77-year-old professor at LSU’s AgCenter Biotechnology Laboratory, Norimoto Murai has lost his life after he was struck by a car while cycling on Stanford Avenue near campus approximately 10:55 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2021 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Murai was riding a bicycle in the 700 block of Stanford Avenue when he was struck by a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. Murai sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. While the driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

No other detail was made available. Investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing.
