Lotus co-founder and Colin Chapman’s wife Hazel Chapman dies 94

Hazel Chapman Death – Cause Of Death: Wife of Colin Chapman and co-founder of the sports car company Lotus Cars Hazel Chapman has passed away on Tuesday 14th December 2021 at the age of 94. The circumstances surrounding Hazel Chapman’s cause of death have not been released at the time of this publication.

Hazel was born on the 21st of May 1927 in North London, she was a successful racing motorist, a smart businesswoman, She was one of the pillars that held Lotus foundations. Lotus Cars Limited is a British automotive company headquartered in Norfolk, England. It manufactures sports cars and racing cars noted for their lightweight and fine handling characteristics, it was founded in Hethel, the United Kingdom in the year 1948.

The Lotus car released a statement on their official Facebook page saying “The global Lotus community is saddened to learn that Hazel Chapman, the wife of Colin Chapman and co-founder of Lotus, has died aged 94. Her contribution to motorsport and the motor industry in the latter half of the 20th century should not be under-estimated.”

Hazel got married to the love of her life Colin Chapman, an English design engineer, inventor, and builder in the automotive industry, and founder of Lotus Cars in the year 1954, they lived happily till his sudden demise on 16th December 1982. Their union was blessed with three children Clive Chapman, Jane Chapman, Sarah Chapman. She will be remembered for her talent.
