Lori McTaggart of Edinburg killed in Route 104 crash

Lori McTaggart Cause of Death – Passed Away: CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ill – Lori McTaggart of Edinburg, Illinois, who worked for the Illinois State Police as an administrative assistant to Senior Command of the Division of Criminal Investigation, has been identified as the woman killed in a fatal crash on Saturday by the Christian County Coroner.

Lori McTaggart, 48, of Edinburg, was killed in a car accident on Saturday, November 20, 2021. The accident happened around 7:13 p.m. on Route 104 near Bullpit. McTaggart was reportedly driving an eastbound blue jeep on Route 104 when she entered the westbound lane to overtake other vehicles, where she collided with a bulldozer.

The bulldozer flipped over, and the jeep caught fire. McTaggart died at the scene of the accident. The bulldozer driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries. McTaggart died of multiple blunt injuries, according to an autopsy performed on her body on Sunday.
