The news about the passing of Elizabeth Beers was revealed in a tweet made on the 19th of November 2021 by City of Newnan, GA. According to the tweet, Elizabeth who was a local historian was a very important contributor to the academic activities of the City of Newnan, GA. Newnan is a city in Metro Atlanta and the county seat of Coweta County, Georgia, about 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Atlanta.

She supported the city’s Newnan Citizen Academy. The Newnan Citizen Academy is a 12-course program offered once a year that provides information and education to help foster informed and engaged residents, students, and business and property owners in the city of Newnan. City of Newnan, GA described Elizabeth in a tweet as a woman of wisdom, knowledge and historical insight.

City of Newnan, GA said in a tweet; “We are saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Elizabeth Beers, a local historian and significant contributor to our city’s Newnan Citizen Academy. We thank her for her wisdom, knowledge and historical insight, and perspective of the City of Newnan – she will be missed.”
