Lincoln High School on code red lockdown, Thursday

Lincoln High School has been placed on code red lockdown following a weapon on campus report on Thursday.

The incident was reported at approximately 11:20 a.m. Officials say a student reported sitting what may appear to be a weapon. The school administrator confirmed that students have been secured in classrooms and officials are investigating the incident.

The Western Placer Unified School District sent an alert to parents to notify them about the situation

The Lincoln Police Department is currently investigating a report of a firearm on campus at Lincoln High School. The school is on lockdown and students are safe as we are conducting a search. We have no reports of injuries. Please follow Lincoln High School instructions. We will post updates as more information comes available.
Parents are being urged to stay away from campus as it is completely locked down.
