Vilks was reportedly killed in a tragic accident while travelling in a police vehicle, which collided with a semi-trailer near the southern Swedish town of Markaryd.
Vilks is said to be under the protection of the police after receiving death threats for the cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad on the body of a dog.
The truck driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, where he was questioned by the investigator.
Lars Vilks was the founder of Ladonia and defender of freedom of expression.
He should’ve seen this coming tbh, throwing all that blasphemy around, dedicating years of his life insulting the prophet, and God was so gracious to give him decades to repent but he was persistent with his sin. No sympathy for the wicked! pic.twitter.com/33N7ZSjwwo

“Lars Vilks, the enemy of Islam (the curse who drew cartoons insulting our Prophet), was burned to death in a vehicle that exploded and caught fire as a result of a collision between a truck and a car. It started to burn while he was still on earth. Have a lot of fire.”
