Kirk R. Elm—-35, Minot, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 11, 2020, in his home.
Kirksten Robert Elm was born on February 13, 1985, a son of Michael and Deena (Wald) Elm in Devils Lake, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, where he attended and graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in 2003. He furthered his educated by attending UND, Grand Forks, ND.
Kirk held various positions throughout his lifetime, including the Minot Country Club as a groundskeeper, Materials Testing, CTI, bartender at Ground Round, Side Kicks, Elevation, and most recently at Aces Lounge and casino.
Kirk enjoyed spending time with his son, Aidan. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, a good game of pool and looked forward to his league night. He appreciated music which he expressed with playing his guitar and singing. He could make up songs with very little effort and enjoyed harmonizing with his siblings. He was known for his large heart and his sense of humor, making people laugh brought him joy. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend and will be missed by all that knew him.

Elm; Siblings: Brian Elm of Seattle, WA; Austin (Betsy) Elm of Whitefish, MT; Jerik (Kristen) Elm of Maple Grove, MN; Kyler (Dailey) Elm of Minot ND; Kalan Elm of Minot, ND; Shayla Elm of Bismarck, ND; Bryson Elm of Minot, ND; Nieces and Nephews: Paxton Elm; Marlee Elm; Oliver Elm; Edison Elm; Avalon Elm; Theo Elm; Everly Elm; Griffin Elm; Mae Elm. Maternal grandparents: Don and Bertha Wald; Several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kirk was preceded in death by grandparents Laurence and Beverly Elm.
Celebrating the Life of Kirk Elm:
Visitation: Monday, June 15, 2020, from 3 until 5 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. We will be observing Covid-19 guidelines.
(Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic) A Funeral Mass for immediate and extended family will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 10:30 am.
