Kenneth Smith of Jacksonville dies in Birmingham, AL solo-car accident

Kenneth David Smith Death – Cause of Death : 21-year-old Kenneth David Smith of Jacksonville has died of injuries suffered from a single-car accident that took place in the early hour of  Sunday morning, December 19, 2021, in Jefferson County. The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Old Broadwell Mill Road, approximately miles west of Jacksonville city in Birmingham, Alabama.

According to officials, Smith was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla on Old Broadwell Mill Road when his car drifted off the roadway and struck a tree. Smith who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash was ejected from the car. He suffered serious life-threatening injuries from the wreck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division.

Kenneth David Smith’s obituary will be released by his family.
