The Pacific Northwest lost a coaching legend with the passing of Coach Keith Kingsbury.

A Hall of Famer in so many ways, and a great friend to our program and a former Viking player from 1958-62.

He impacted so many lives on and off the court.

Rest Easy Coach Kingsbury.

RIP, coach Keith Kingsbury😪 You were the best coach I had, you taught me how to take my game to another level. You also inspired me to get into coaching, and except for the language, I like to think that I took a ton from you. You will be missed.

We are extremely saddened to announce the passing of Triton HOF basketball coach, Keith Kingsbury. He coached Edmonds for 32 seasons and made a profound impact on his players, this school, and our community. You will be missed, Coach.#tritonpride

To say that Keith Kingsbury was my mentor would grossly understate the true impact that “Kings” had on my family and I. There are not nearly enough truth-tellers in the coaching profession and he was a true example of one. He always had time for everyone regardless of level or school affiliation. I wouldn’t have lasted in the college game if it wasn’t for Kings and I’m eternally thankful for the nearly decade-long relationship that we built.

From the advice on fatherhood to very blunt critiques of my golf swing, Kings always had a great one liner to accompany his advice and I will miss those as much as anything else.

He was a friend to many, including the game of basketball and an icon among coaches in the Northwest. Known for playing with pace and spacing the floor at Edmonds CC before it was in style, he was ahead of his time and never cheated the game.

He would always say, “Seems like you’ve got ’em headed the right way, champ” I’ll miss those post-game breakdowns and the simplicity with which you saw the game. I’m sad that you aren’t here with us anymore, but I know you’re happy to be reunited with your sugar bear.

Rest Well my Friend.
