Julio Maymi-Diaz Death – Cause Of Death: Officials have identified 50-year-old Julio Maymi-Diaz as the victim that died in a crash that took place in downtown Las Vegas on Friday 10th December 2021. 24-year-old Daysia Brown has been taken into custody after the crash occurred.
According to the police report, Brown was operating a Jeep and heading eastbound on Gass and a Toyota operated Maymi-Diaz was traveling northbound when the jeep ran a red light at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Gass Avenue causing a collision with the Toyota. Julio Maymi-Diaz was taken to the hospital and was declared dead.
Daysia Brown was taken into custody on a $50,000 bond at the Clark County Detention Center. The crash is under investigation. She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on a charge of DUI resulting in death.
