News outlets have disclosed that when responding officers arrived at the end of Peach Court, which was a half-block street in Roseland that ends in a cul-de-sac, residents of the area have already called the office that an armed man with a rifle was yelling and firing shots. Authorities said when they got to the scene, Valencia was not carrying the rifle when officers arrived. Santa Rosa police said they tried to restrain Jordon but he had “a medical emergency” shortly after he was handcuffed. Some witnesses told news outlets that they believe the man was hit by the stun gun at least twice. Pas’ relatives could not immediately be reached for comment.
