Johron Jones Death – The two victims who were slain late Tuesday night in a shooting at a Chinese takeout restaurant in Philadelphia have been identified by the police. The Shangri-La Chinese Restaurant located on the 5400 block of Chester Avenue experienced at least 16 shots soon before 11:30 p.m., according to the reports of the local police. Johron Jones, 19, was found shot numerous times in the head and the torso after being found in the 5400 block of Chester Avenue.
Second victim
Kristie Manago, 43, who lives in the 5200 block of Chester Avenue, was reportedly hit in the shoulder by a bullet, according to the police. Both victims were transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where it was determined shortly thereafter that they had both passed away. A third victim, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the leg and shoulder. At this time, his condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center does not appear to be improving. Action News has been informed by sources that two of the victims are actually half-brothers. The assailants were last seen fleeing in the direction of the south on 54th Street. No arrests have been made.

As the city’s gun violence continues unabated into the new year, a triple shooting in Lower Northeast Philadelphia on Thursday night left a 16-year-old boy dead and two others hospitalized. According to authorities, the 16-year-old male had two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the stomach. He was taken to a fire station less than two miles from the gunshot location, and an hour later, Jefferson Torresdale Hospital pronounced him dead.
The third male victim, 42, had a gunshot wound to the chest and was still in critical condition, according to police. Another man, 35, who had been wounded many times, was admitted to the same hospital in a stable condition. The number of shooters on Thursday night was unknown, and police made no arrests or named any suspects in the case. A man was shot and killed in Harrowgate, around the 3500 block of Kensington Avenue, according to police, a half-hour after the triple shooting. No one has been detained, and no weapons have been found.
