Saddened by the news of the loss of my friend and strong advocate for working families John Patrick. John worked tirelessly to help Texans and was inducted earlier this year in the Texas Labor Hall of Fame.

In a long career with the @steelworkers and as President of the Texas AFL-CIO, John Patrick built a stellar record of integrity, solidarity and generosity of spirit while helping build a stronger labor movement.

I am saddened to learn about the passing of Former Texas AFL-CIO President John Patrick. He led a life of service, and the lives of many workers are better for it.

John Patrick was one of the first people I met when considering running for State Senate. His integrity, generosity and passion for working Texans were evident. He will be greatly missed.

John Patrick was a strong supporter of TARA and he will be greatly missed. He was a very special person and a great labor leader. Our thoughts are with Linda and his family.
