John Masterson, President of South Hastings Baseball League dies at 66

John Masterson Death: John Masterson, 66-year-old, president of The South Hastings Baseball League passed away after he succumbed to the stroke he suffered. Jim Farrell shared the news of his passing on Facebook. Another Quinte Saint has left us, Jim wrote John ‘Bat’ Masterson passed away at the the age of 66, Rest in peace Pat. The post continued.

He is popularly known as Bat, he had been part of of the South Hastings Baseball League for more than five decades. He started playing with the men in his early teens, moving on to coaching and helping start new teams and most recently as league president. He was one of the ringleaders from the early 80s Foxboro IGA crew
