Joel Thibodeaux dies in two-car accident on I-210 in Lake Charles

Joel Thibodeaux Death – Cause of Death : 38-year-old Joel Thibodeaux of Lake Charles has been pronounced dead following injuries suffered from a two-car accident that happened on Interstate 210 east, close to Nelson Road exist. The accident happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Thibodeaux was driving a 2012 GMC Sierra westbound on I-210 when he lost control of the car, exited the roadway, and drove through the median into the path of an oncoming 2019 Ford F-550 heading eastbound. The GMC then struck the Ford. Following the collision, Thibodeaux sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Debris from the initial collision between the GMC and Ford was struck by two other cars.  The driver of the Ford was hospitalized in critical but stable condition. While two other passengers in the Ford were also hospitalized with injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Joel Thibodeaux’s obituary will be released by the family.
