Jo Ann Selander died at the age of 86 from Covid-19

Jo Ann Selander Death – Cause of Death – 86 year old Jo Ann Selander, a resident of The Holmstad in Batavia, died on Monday, 6th of December 2021 from Covid-19 related illness. She was born on the 29th of August 1935, in Oak Park, Illinois, to Edmund and Gertrude Powell. Her obituary created by Legacy mentioned that Selander taught elementary school, and was instrumental in starting Toddler’s Campus preschool at First Baptist Church of Wheaton, and was its first Director.

According to her obituary, Selander is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edwin; her children, Janet (Gary) Meyer, Tim (Aileen) and Tom (Sandra) Selander; her eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Powell and her brother, Edmund Powell, Jr.

Legacy also stated in her obituary that a visitation will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 1:00pm -3:00pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00pm. Private interment will be held at Wheaton Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to College Church, 332 E.
