Jimmy Kimmel mourns the passing of John Carlin

John Carlin Death – Cause of Death – On the 30th of November 2021, Jimmy Kimmel confirmed the death of John Carlin in a Facebook post. According to the post, John Carlin passed away of ALS which he had been battling with since in 2016. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function. In this disease, nerve cells break down, which reduces functionality in the muscles they supply. The main symptom is muscle weakness. The cause is unknown and there is no cure.

Reports revealed that John worked at the Jimmy Kimmel Live show for 19 years before his passing. John loved the LA sports teams like the Dodgers & Lakers. The funeral arrangements will be posted by his family at a later date. He was an amazing personality who will forever be remembered. The family have asked that donations be made to Mass General in Boston in honor of John.

Tributes have been shared in honor of John Carlin:

Jimmy Kimmel wrote; “This good man, who was our friend and co-worker for 19 years, passed away last week. John Carlin was diagnosed with ALS in 2016. Even as he lost basic functions, he never stopped working and never stopped smiling. When speaking about friends we’ve lost, we often mention how well-loved they were by “everyone they met.” John genuinely was. Everyone who knew John – even in passing – felt his kindness, humility and warmth.

“It is hard to put into words what a bright light John was. His loving and excellent family, including his parents Jim and Lynne and his brothers Chris, Patrick and Kevin supported their son and brother in every way. They have asked that donations be made to Mass General in Boston, where great work is being done by many, including John’s beloved Doctor Merit Cudkowicz, to fight and cure ALS.

“We will miss John terribly. Please make a donation to help the brilliant women and men working to end this dreadful disease. Thanks for reading. XO Jimmy”

Earvin Magic Johnson said in a tweet; “RIP to my friend John Carlin! I know John from @JimmyKimmelLive, where he worked for so many years. John had the biggest heart & always greeted me with a smile and we shared a love for LA sports teams like the Dodgers & Lakers. May God bless his family & loved ones.”
