Jeremy Purvis died, child injured in Mobile County hit-and-run crash

Jeremy Purvis Death – Cause of Death : One person has died and a child was injured in Mobile County hit-and-run accident. The officials identified the victim that died as 38-year-old Jeremy Purvis The accident happened on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, around 9:00 p.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, a Honda Odyssey minivan occupied by four persons was moving northbound lane on Snow Road roughly five miles south of Semmes when the vehicle was hit by a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was towing a Ford F-550. Authorities stated that the tow strap broke then the F-550 went off and hit the Honda.

Purvis who was one of the passengers in the Honda was pronounced dead by the officials. Another passenger was also injured in the crash.

Officials arrested the driver of the F-550 identified as Claude Russell, 40, and charged with felony leaving the scene of the accident that claimed a life.

The crash remains under investigation.
