Jeremy M. Purvis dead, driver charged in Mobile County, AL hit-and-run accident

Jeremy M. Purvis Death – Cause of Death : 38-year-old Jeremy M. Purvis, of Semmes, has died of injuries suffered from a hit-and-run accident that happened on Tuesday night, December 7, 2021. The accident happened at approximately 9:00 p.m on Snow Road, south of Semmes in Mobile County, Alabama.

According to reports, Purvis, his fiancée, Andrea Lollar, and their three boys Jaidan, Jason, and Logan were traveling in a Honda Odyssey minivan in the northbound lane, while a Ford F-150 pickup truck pulling a Ford F-550 heading southbound driving by Claude Russell, 40, Along the line, the tow strap between the trucks detached and the F-550 drifted the roadway into the northbound lane and struck the Honda.

Purvis sustained serious injuries and died at the scene of the crash while the three boys were injured. Meanwhile, Russell fled the scene without stopping to render aid or call authorities. However, he was apprehended on Wednesday and charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and booked into the Mobile Metro Jail.
