James Leslie Caudell dies, Hunter Bell injured in Franklin County head-on crash

James Leslie Caudell Death – Cause of Death : At least one person has died, another critically injured following a head-on crash in Franklin County around 8 p.m. The Georgia State Patrol identified the victim that lost his life as James Leslie Caudell, 68, of Martin, GA., and the victim that sustained serious injuries was identified as Hunter Bell, 25, of Bowersville.

On Saturday, Dec. 11, a 2012 Ford Escape driven by Caudell was moving south in a northbound lane near MC Marine when his vehicle crashed head-on with a Dodge Ram pickup driven by Bell. Caudell suffered a fatal injury from the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bell was rushed to Greenville Memorial Hospital for the treatment of injuries sustained from the accident. It was revealed that Hunter Bell is the son of Stephens County Commissioner, Dennis Bell.

The accident is still under investigation by the officers.
