Jackie Montanaro and daughter die after house fire, Hazlet mourns
Jackie Montanaro Death – On Tuesday, people living in the Hazlet neighborhood of New Jersey came together to honor Jackie Montanaro and her daughter Madelyn, who was 6 years old. The mother and daughter died after a house fire early on Friday in Hazlet At about 12:30 in the morning, a fire started in the residence that belonged to the Montanaro family. Only three members of the family were able to escape, but one of the daughters was still inside the house. Willie Montanaro made an effort to enter the house, but the smoke was too overwhelming for him.

They were eventually rescued by firefighters, but sadly, they both passed very shortly after arriving at the hospital. Several campaigns to raise money for William Montanaro and his surviving daughter Elena are currently under way. The Boy Scouts of America’s Monmouth Council is hosting one of these events right now. At the council, Montanaro serves as both the Chief Operating Officer as well as the Assistant Scout Executive. The Raine Foundation is now taking donations in the form of gift cards, which can be sent to the Hazlet Police Department and will be given to the family in question.

A vigil with candlelight is going to be held on Tuesday evening at six o’clock in the evening at the Veterans park in Hazlet, which is located on Union Avenue. The prosecutor’s office in Monmouth County is continuing their investigation into what led to the fire. During the blaze, the family’s dog managed to escape and has not been seen since.
