Robert Jervis Death- Cause Of Death: Professor of International Politics in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University and a true giant of International Relations has passed away on Thursday 9th December 2021 at the age of 81 after a courageous battle with lung cancer at his home surrounded by his wife and his beautiful daughters.
Robert was born on 30th April in the year 1940, to a lawyer Herman Jervis, and a potter Dorothy Jervis in New York City. New York City comprises 5 boroughs sitting where the Hudson River meets the Atlantic Ocean. At its core is Manhattan, a densely populated borough that’s among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College in year 1962, he proceeded to study at the University of California, Berkeley. The University of California, Berkeley is a public land-grant research university in Berkeley, California. He obtained a Ph.D. in 1968 from the University of California, Berkeley.
Robert began his career as an assistant professor of government at Harvard University from 1968 through 1972 and later became an associate professor from 1972 to 1974. Bob Jervis was a towering figure in the study of international relations. His ideas, his rigorous approach to questions, and his intellectual curiosity are a model for all who encountered him. He was a professor of political science at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1974 to 1980. In 2000-2001 he acted as the president of the American Political Science Association.
