Hunter Longacre-Thieme critically injured in Kingman County accident

Pratt juvenile critically injured in a two-car accident on U.S. 54 in Kingman County 

16-year-old Hunter C. Longacre-Thieme, of Pratt has been hospitalized with serious injuries following a rear-ended accident that happened on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. The crash occurred at approximately 6 p.m on U.S. 54 in Kingman County.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol, 41-year-old Cristopher A. Helm, of Kingman drove a 2013 Ford F350 pickup and pulled out at the westbound lane of U.S. 54, west of Kingman when a westbound 2005 GMC Sierra pickup operated by Longacre-Thieme rear-ended the vehicle.

Following the collision, Longacre-Thieme sustained serious injuries and was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment. Helm did not sustain injuries from the crash, but a passenger in his truck, 15-year-old, Kaden E. Friess, of Kingman, complained of pains but was not hospitalized.
