Hillcrest Primary School pupils killed in Devonport bouncy castle accident identified

5 children died in bouncy castle accident in Australia: Jalailah Jayne-Maree Jones, Jye Sheehan, Peter Dodt, Addison Stewart, and Zane Mellor killed in Tasmania jumping castle accident

Have been identified as the five grade 5 and 6 Hillcrest Primary School pupils that lost their lives in Tasmania jumping castle accident. The accident happened on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at approximately 10: 00 am in Devonport, Tasmania, Australia.

According to reports, the school was having its end-of-school-year party when the bouncy castle the pupils were jumping inside was blown into the air by 10 meters (33 feet) gust of wind. Following the accident four of the pupils were pronounced dead at the scene while one was pronounced dead at the hospital. However, three are still hospitalized in critical condition.

We extent our heartfelt condolences to the families that lost their children and pray for the quick recovery of the injured.

The children’s identities were released with permission from their families.
