Hailey Rainey of Muncie dies in rollover accident on White River Boulevard

Hailey K. Rainey Death – Cause of Death : 32-year-old Hailey K. Rainey, of Muncie, Indiana has been identified by the Delaware County Coroner as the woman that lost her life in a single-car accident that happened on Muncie’s west side. The car crash occurred in the wee hours of Sunday morning, December 5, 2021, at approximately 3:37 a.m. on White River Boulevard just before Regal Court in Muncie, Indiana.

Preliminary investigation showed that Rainey was operating a Pontiac eastbound on White River Boulevard when for unknown reasons her car drifted off the roadway close to Regal Court, rolled over, and crashed into a tree. Following the accident, she sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, an 11-year-old boy who was a passenger in the car was not hurt.

Muncie is an incorporated city and the seat of Delaware County, Indiana. Previously known as Buckongahelas Town, named after the legendary Delaware Chief. It is located in East Central Indiana, about 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis. The United States Census for 2010 reported the city’s population was 70,085.
