Gregory Lynn Baker dies in Augusta auto-pedestrian accident

Gregory Lynn Baker Death – Cause of Death : Gregory Lynn Baker, 52, from  Augusta, Georgia has passed away following injuries suffered from an auto-pedestrian accident that happened on Saturday night. The wreck occurred on December 4, 2021, in the 3700 block of Peach Orchard Road in Augusta, Georgia.  Baker was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident at approximately 8:30 p.m.

According to investigators, Baker, of the 3700 block of Byrd Road who was in a wheelchair attempting to cross Peach Orchard Road when he was struck by a vehicle heading southbound. The impact threw him into the northbound lane and he also got struck by Richmond County Sheriff’s patrol car. Baker sustained serious injuries to which he succumbed to at the scene of the crash.

Augusta officially Augusta–Richmond County, is a consolidated city-county on the central-eastern border of the U.S. state of Georgia. The city lies across the Savannah River from South Carolina at the head of its navigable portion. Georgia’s third-largest city after Atlanta and Columbus, Augusta is located in the Fall Line section of the state.

The crash remains under investigation.

Gregory Lynn Baker’s obituary will be released by his family.
