George Frederickson Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished George Frederickson.

The public management research community worldwide is mourning the loss of one of the giants of the field, and an extremely approachable and generous human being. He will be sorely missed by his colleagues at @KUSPAA, @PMRA1991, @IRSPM, and many others. Vale George Frederickson!

I met George Frederickson in 05. He was a well-established legend in the field, but he couldn’t have been kinder or more supportive of my work & career. As a young scholar, there was no reason for him to remember me. But he did, & always encouraged me to write more. Rest in Peace

Our field lost a great scholar and a wonderful person. I met George Frederickson when @edgareramirez invited him to Mexico City. Listening to his research was fantastic, but more fantastic was to meet a super friendly, kind, and charismatic person, who btw loved Mexican food!

I’m sad to learn of George Frederickson’s death. While a wonderful scholar, I best remember George as a leader who constantly pushed ASPA leaders to think about doing things differently. Thank you for everything George! You will be missed a lot.
