Gary Hunt killed in Warren County shooting

Gary Hunt Cause of Death – Passed Away: Gary Hunt, 64, was accidentally shot to death on Pennsylvania State Game Lands 197 in Columbus Township, Warren County, on Saturday afternoon.

Gary Hunt died after being shot by an unidentified 42-year-old fellow hunter. According to reports, Gary and the 42-year-old man were hunting bear on Saturday when the man slipped while crossing a creek in front of Gary, prompting the hunter to fire a 270 rifle behind him.

Gary was hit in the abdomen by a bullet. When rescuers arrived, they located Hunt dead from a gunshot injuries after being called for someone in cardiac arrest.

This is an ongoing investigation and there is no additional information at this time.

Gary Hunt obituary and funeral arrangements will be released by his family.
