Gabriel Stauring dies in Manhattan Beach four-car accident

Gabriel Stauring, wife and 1 other killed in Manhattan Beach four-car accident 

55-year-old Gabriel Stauring, of Redondo Beach, has been identified by the officials as the third victim that died in a four-car accident that happened on Tuesday night, November 23, 2021, in Manhattan Beach. The accident took place at approximately 9:46 p.m. at the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Marine Avenue. Stauring identity was revealed on Thursday, November 25.

The four-car crash involving a BMW, a VW and a Prius, and one other vehicle happened when one of the cars traveling at a high rate of speed sideswiped another vehicle which triggered a chain reaction with other cars. The impact of the collision caused one of the cars involved to crash into a building close to the scene of the crash.

Following the collision, 48-year-old Christian Mendoza, of Redondo Beach, 55-year-old Stauring, and 40-year-old Katie-Jay Scott, also of Redondo Beach who were in another vehicle were all pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. While Two adults and one teen were transported to the hospital in critical condition. Stauring and Scott were a married couple.

The crash remains under investigation.
