Gabriel Herrera dies in Streamwood shooting, another injured

Gabriel Herrera Death – Cause Of Death: 21-year-old Gabriel Herrera was killed in a fatal shooting in Streamwood and another unidentified victim injured on Thursday 16th December 2021. Streamwood is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 39,858 at the 2010 census. It is a northwest suburb of Chicago and is a part of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Police responded to the shooting that took place on the 1000 block of Vine Street, upon police arrival, Gabriel Herrera and the second victim were located severely injured, Herrera was transported to Amita St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates where he was declared dead. The other victim was rushed to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation reveals that Gabriel Herrera and the other victim were inside a car when they were fired shot before they crashed into a tree. An investigation is still underway by the Streamwood detectives and the Major Case Assistance Team.
