Family and Friends mourns the death of John Wolf, Vestavia Hills, Al, at

John Lewis Wolf death – passed away: John Wolf, 20-year-old, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021. In high school, John was a three-time state champion tennis player. He was the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation Honored Hero in 2019. The cause of his death was not made public as of the time of this report.

He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 22, 2001, to Johnnie Kay and Robert Wolf. He was a brother to Luke Alan Wolf and Sarah Elizabeth Wolf. He graduated from Briarwood High School in 2020. He was a Chemical Engineering / Premed major at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He wanted to be a pediatric surgeon. He was working part-time at Penske. He attended the Church at Brook Hills and Briarwood Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his parents, Johnnie Kay and Robert Wolf; one brother, Luke Alan Wolf; one sister, Sarah Elizabeth Wolf; maternal grandmother, Kay McManus; paternal grandmother, Janice P. Bricker; paternal grandfather, Richard Wolf; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 1 pm to 2 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance for John at 2 p.m. at the church’s main sanctuary. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL. Dr Harry Reeder will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Jimmie Hale Rescue Mission,, or to the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America / Alabama Branch,
