Eric Otto Emil Marzke Death – Cause of Death – 88-year-old Eric Otto Emil Marzke, of Katy, Texas (formerly of Monticello), died on Thursday, 9th of December 2021, in Katy, Texas. He was birthed on Tuesday, 10th of October 1933, in Nelson B.C., Canada, to the late Konrad and Malvina (Tabert) Marzke. Eric was a technician for the former United/ Sprint Telephone Company of Monticello for 34 years and retired on April 1, 1995. He served as a United States Army Veteran during the Korean war.
According to his obituary created by News and Review, Eric is survived by three children, Michael Eric “Mike” (wife Laura) Marzke of Maui, Hawaii, Rex (husband Steve Roberts) Marzke of Houston, Texas, and Shirley (husband David) Hartmann of Fulshear, Texas; three stepchildren, Vicky (husband Ralph) Claypool of Layette, Maria (husband Mark) Tinkle, and Michael Dean Tatlock, both of Monticello; and 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; lifelong companion and caregiver, Ruby Robinson, of Monticello; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
His obituary also mentioned that visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at the Miller – Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello followed by a Celebration of Life Service will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, with Rev. Andrew Keller of the St. James Lutheran Church of Reynolds officiating.
