Eric Moran killed in Johnstown’s Oakhurst Homes fire identified

Eric Moran Death – Cause Of Death: JOHNSTOWN, Pa. 48-year-old Eric Moran has been identified by officials as the man killed in an apartment fire that happened in Johnstown’s Oakhurst Homes on Sunday 12th December 2021. Johnstown is a city in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, west-southwest of Altoona and 56 miles east of Pittsburgh.

According to multiple sources, police responded to a fire report inside a bedroom at Oakhurst Homes in the city’s West End at approximately 9:30 p.m. Eric Moran was located by officials inside the laundry room on the first floor. An autopsy revealed that Moran died of toxic smoke inhalation and second and third-degree burns that covered 20 percent of his body.

Eric Moran’s death has been ruled accidental due to an electrical issue. An investigation is still ongoing by the state police fire marshal and Johnstown Police Bureau.
