Enterprise man charged for 15-year-old Myrell Smith shooting

Myrell Smith Death: Officials with the Coffee County say 15-year-old Myrell Smith of Enterprise High School, was fatally shot Wednesday night in Enterprise.

Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers say a  28-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting death. Officials responded around 7:00 p.m. to the 100 Block of Thompson Street. Arriving officials located a male, unresponsive at the scene with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Smith was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

28-year-old Deandre Marquise Flowers, of Enterprise, was arrested and charged with capital murder. Flowers have been booked into the Coffee County Jail on no bond.
