Emily Elizabeth King, 42, Body found on Plateau Road
NEWTON — The body of a lady was found in a forested area off of Plateau Road on Wednesday. The authorities have now been able to identify her. Emily Elizabeth King, who is 42 years old and from Newton, is the woman. According to a press release issued by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, King’s next of kin have been contacted on his passing. According to the sheriff’s office, the manner in which King passed away is still being investigated as a possible cause. An autopsy is pending.

According to the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, a passing motorist spotted the body on Wednesday approximately fifteen feet away from the roadway near the intersection of Plateau Road and Trail Winds Street.
