Eddie Jaku Obituary – Death: Eddie Jaku, a Holocaust survivor, and author of the best-selling book The Happiest Man On Earth, has passed away unexpectedly. He was 101 years old.
Details surrounding his death is unknown at the time of this report.
Mr. Jaku was born in Germany and experienced World War II in the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Buchenwald.
Both of his parents were assassinated. In the 1950s, he made his way to Australia after surviving the war.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, he and his wife lived in an aged care facility in Randwick, and he was still driving and volunteering at the Sydney Jewish Museum last year. In 2019, he gave a TedX lecture about his life, and in 2020, he published his best-selling book.
