Douglas Reynolds Death – A news release said that North Little Rock police officers who responded to a burglary alarm early on Sunday morning discovered a shooting victim and have opened a homicide investigation into the incident. According to a release that was issued in the afternoon on Sunday, it was stated that officers with the North Little Rock Police Department responded to a report of a house burglary alarm at around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday in the 2700 block of Lakeview Road. The address is located approximately a mile and a half to the southwest of the McCain Boulevard overpass that crosses U.S. 67/167.

Information from the release

According to the release, officers found a victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. At the scene, the victim’s death was confirmed by medical personnel. Both the perpetrator and the victim in a shooting that occurred early on Sunday and is currently being investigated as a possible homicide have been named by the North Little Rock Police Department. Alison Broyles, age 34, from Little Rock was taken into custody and charged with one count of capital murder in connection with the homicide of Douglas Reynolds, age 54.

Upon arriving, officers located Broyles, who was detained by officers after they determined that she did not live at the residence. Additionally, it was reported to the police that she was engaging in “suspicious behavior.” Anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the North Little Rock Police Department’s tip line at (501) 680-8439 or Detective Jeff Coburn at (501) 771-7155. On Friday, the North Little Rock police department made the announcement that they are conducting an investigation into a gunshot that left one victim in critical condition. Officers from the police department arrived to the 4500 block of Pike Avenue after receiving reports of a person having been shot there. When the officers arrived on the scene, they discovered one victim inside the apartment who was a Hispanic male aged 17 and suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim was rushed to a hospital for his life-threatening condition, but he did not survive his injuries and passed away there. The matter has been brought to the attention of the North Little Rock detectives who have just arrived at the area. According to the NLRPD, this investigation is still going on and is now being conducted. Any further information will be released when it becomes available.
