Benny Shields Death – Cause of Death – The news about the passing of Benny Shields was confirmed in a tweet made on the 13th of December 2021 by DonaghmoreGAA. Benny passed away on the 12th of December 2021. Benny Shields, Gortin, Edendork, was a proud @NaFianna1903 (Coalisland Na Fianna). Coalisland Fianna is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Coalisland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The club was founded in 1903 and its home is Fr. Peter Campbell Park.

He was also a proud Tyrone GAA Gael. The Tyrone County Board (Irish: Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Coiste Chontae Tír Eoghain), or Tyrone GAA, is one of the 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Tyrone. Tyrone won their fourth Sam Maguire cup on the 11th of September 2021 defeating Mayo 2-14 to 0-15. Circumstances surrounding the passing of Benny was not released to the public at the time of this publication.

DonaghmoreGAA said in a tweet; “We were saddened to hear of the passing yeaterday evening of Benny Shields, Gortin, Edendork, a proud @NaFianna1903 and Tyrone GAA gael. We think of his close family and in particular u15 coach Aidan, Patricia, Larry and James. Mary Queen of the Gael pray for him.”
