Don Zail Blackmon identified as stabbing victim, Gulfport Police investigating

Don Zail Blackmon Death – An investigation has been opened by the Gulfport Police Department into a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday night and left one man dead and another man injured. Around eight o’clock in the evening, police were called to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport on a report that someone had been cut. Two victims were found by responding authorities, each suffering from multiple stab wounds. One of the victims, who had attempted to intervene but had been cut once, was taken to the hospital, treated, and then discharged.
Victim identified
According to Gulfport police spokesman Sgt. Jason Ducre, the other individual passed away as a result of his injuries at the hospital. Don Zail Blackmon, 24, was identified as the victim of a homicide by Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer. Blackmon was a resident of Gulfport. According to Switzer, Blackmon was conscious and chatting when he was brought in, but he passed away around 8:30 p.m.
Suspect identified
Detectives found that one of the victims and the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Deondre Travon McGill had argued before McGill stabbed the victims and then fled. A warrant for McGill’s arrest in connection with first-degree murder has been issued. His bond was set at $1 million. He has been described as having brown eyes and black hair and stands 6 feet 2 inches tall. It is thought that McGill is currently behind the wheel of a brown Subaru Legacy bearing the license plate JGQ7914.

He should be considered armed and dangerous. Tytitauna Dynasty Jones is currently wanted for the crime of Accessory After the Fact, and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. The bail for Jones has been set at fifty thousand dollars.
