Tributes To Dillon Gasca On His Death
Nick Alligood is with Dillon Gasca said: This weekend we suffered the very tragic loss of our drummer, friend, and brother — Dillon Gasca. In the time I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and sharing music with Dillon, I’ve learned a lot about him. From day one the guy always wore a smile, no matter what. The talent and passion he had for the drums and music was undeniable and incredible! He always put others before himself and was always there for me as a friend! Flat out, just one of the best dudes I know! Thankfully, the last night I played with Dillon, I had the pleasure of meeting his mother and father, Lisa & Miko, as they were visiting Nashville and in attendance of our last show. My heart is with them, the rest of his family, his girlfriend Andrea, and the rest of our community that had the privilege of knowing such an amazing human being! We love you Dil, and I’m gonna miss the hell out of you brother! Keep us on beat up there! RIP DG 🖤
CC Ellis is with Ethan Cole said: This is a tough post to make. My long time friend Dillon Gasca was involved in a fatal accident Friday night. We hadn’t been hanging as much over the last few years but I have spent about as much time with Dillon as I have almost anyone else in my life. Over the last 10 years we played hundreds of gigs together and even lived together for a few years. Everyone I ever introduced to Dillon instantly loved him. He was truly unlike anyone I’ve ever met. My heart goes out to all of his other friends and especially to his family. Love you brother.
Doc Bates said: Dillon Gasca what can I say about this guy? When I met Miko and Lisa and they heard I was a professional entertainer all Ithey could talk about was this kid. Even as a little kid, 8 or 9 years old, he was clearly very talented and magnetic I liked him right away. I went home and told my wife I just met a kid who is destined for stardom. I volunteered to help him in any way I could because I knew it would be a privilege to be a part of the remarkable life which I knew he would live. I am honored to have known him. To have him call me an influence and a friend is beyond humbling. I think he knew good and well he didn’t really need me, but every time I saw him growing up and as an adult he would come up to me and credit me with having influenced him. not because It was true, but just because he knew it made me feel special. He was an amazing kid and an amazing young man and an amazing adult. If you knew him, you loved him. He gave me credit I didn’t deserve just to make me feel special. I tell this story because it is typical of him. He would do anything to make you feel good. I will never stop missing him. Through the good times and bad times he showed up to let me know he cared. Wow, what a great person.

I’m honored to have been his friend and to play music with him. This is heartbreaking. His entire family and all of his friends will forever be in my prayers. RIP
Jennifer Sweeney said: My heart breaks today as a mother. I had to tell my 11 year old son that someone he truly looked up to in life is now in heaven. I can only imagine what a blessing it was to be Dillon Gasca parents. He was clearly raised right. He always had a smile, a laugh, a kind word, a hug, and the best manners. My mom met him when they worked together for many years at Poster Emporium. She always called him her second son and he was so good to her. When my son Landon was 8 years old Dillon started teaching him private drum lessons. He always went above and beyond, spent more time than he should, and made my son feel so special. He even let Landon come to his house to play on his electric drum kit. He showed us some of his most prized possessions including his favorite guitar which he lets us both hold and admire. He probably hated listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers on repeat, but since Landon always requested it, Dillon played it with a smile. Landon instantly thought Dillon was cool, you could just tell. He quickly requested his own leather jacket, black jeans, and a chain to wear around his neck. I never said anything to Landon but I knew it was Dillon’s signature look and Landon really admired him. When Dillon moved in April 2018, he gifted Landon with some of his own things that he had for many years. A kind gesture for a young boy with a big dream. I know Dillon saw so much of his younger self in Landon and it was truly a gift to have had him as a teacher for that short time. I stayed in touch periodically and he always had a kind word to reply with. It’s hard to understand the “why”, but Dillon was a gift to this world and everyone who crossed his path. He impacted our life in a positive way and from all the posts and comments, it’s easy to see, the Dillon we knew and loved, was the same Dillon everyone else got. A heart of gold and a smile to light up the world. He will never be forgotten and surely light up heaven with that smile and charisma. Prayers to his family and friends, my heart is with you❤🙏
