Dee Wampler Obituary – Death: Springfield defense attorney and former Greene County prosecutor Dee Wampler has passed away. Dee Wampler of Springfield, Missouri died last night, October 7 while working on a trial in St. Louis.
According to reports, He was just in court this week to defend a first-degree murder charge in Cedar County, and he spoke with OzarksFirst reporters about it Thursday night.
After working as an assistant prosecutor in the office from 1967 to 1970, Wampler became the prosecuting attorney for Greene County in the early 1970s. From 1973 till the present, he has been in private practice.
Wampler wrote a number of works on legal and political topics. Hundreds of honors, citations, pro-bono actions, and publications about him, as well as articles he produced on the law, are included on his website.
