Debra Jones dies in Marietta car-pedestrian wreck

Debra Jones Death – Cause of Death : Debra Jones, 58, of Marietta has lost her life in an auto-pedestrian accidnet that happened in Marietta, northwest of Atlanta, in Georgia on Tuesday night, November 16, 2021 at about 8:50 p.m.

Preliminary investigation revealed that, Debra and her two elementary school grandchildren were trying to cross 2365 Delk Road near Shell gas station outside of the crosswalk when she was struck by a car. She sustained serious injuries and was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, while her grandchildren remain unhurt.

The driver of the car, Howard Arden, 63, of Dunwoody fled the scene after the crash but later alerted the authorities that he had struck someone or something with his 2013 Kia Sorento on Delk Road. He was later apprehended by the Marietta Police alongside Dunwoody police and was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center one count charge of hit-and-run.

The crash remains under investigation.

Debra Jones obituary will be released by her family
