Death: Lt. Brian Ringer Former instructor at ILEA passed away

Brian Ringer cause of death – passed away: Brian Ringer, Former instructor at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and a retired Captain at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department dies from complications of acute pancreatitis. Executive Director, ILEA Timothy Horty announced his death in a statement on Indiana Law Enforcement Academy official Facebook page on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

In the statement Executive Director, ILEA Timothy Horty said “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the sudden passing of Lt. Brian Ringer.” He added that “Brian was the lead EVO instructor at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.  He passed at 8 am Saturday 12/4 with his family at his bedside from complications of acute pancreatitis.”

Horty said their prayers are with the Ringer’s family and also stated that the Funeral arrangements are pending

Monrovia Police Department also send their condolences to Brian extended family on the passing of Brian. They also stated that he was recently an instructor at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and retired after a full career at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department achieving the rank of Captain.
