Wampler wrote a number of works on legal and political topics. Hundreds of honors, citations, pro-bono actions, and publications about him, as well as articles he produced on the law, are included on his website.
Several yrs ago, Dee Wampler invited me to his home to hear a presentation from a guest on astronomy. Dee felt it was necessary to have me stand at the door & then introduced me to guests as they arrived. Despite our differences, he was hospitable & genuine. May he rest in peace.
