Darlington County EMS employee, Robin Nichole Knotts killed in a crash

Robin Nichole Knotts Death – Cause of Death – Robin Nichole Knotts, 41, of Lamar, a Darlington County EMS employee, was the victim who died in a crash on Saturday night, 27th of November 2021. According to authorities, Donna J. Branhill of Timmonsville is charged with felony DUI with death and felony DUI with great bodily injury in a crash that killed Knotts. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol the deadly accident occurred around 9:12 p.m. on South Sansbury Road near Oak Stump Road.

News outlets reported that a 2008 GMC SUV with three people in the car was driving on South Sansbury Road when it ran off the road to the right and collided with a tree. The driver and backseat passenger was taken to the hospital and the front seat passenger sustained fatal injuries. They were all not wearing seatbelt. On Wednesday morning, 1st of December 2021, Branhill turned herself in just before 8 a.m. at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.

The police said a judge has set her bond at $50,000 and she is to have no contact with the victim’s family. Branhill was released on bond on Wednesday afternoon. The crash is under investigation by South Carolina Highway Patrol with assistance from the Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT).
