Danielle Walton dies in Lubbock, TX two-car accident

Danielle Walton Death – Cause of Death : 36-year-old Danielle Walton has passed away following injuries suffered from a two-car accident. The two-car crash happened on Friday morning, December 10, 2021 at approximately 6:37 a.m. at the intersection of 82nd and Slide Road in Lubbock, Texas. Danielle died of blunt force trauma injuries suffered from the car crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Danielle was driving a Ford Fusion northbound in the 8200 block of Slide Road. At the same time, a Ford Expedition driven by Santoyo Hernandez, 41, was heading southbound. Danielle then drifted off the northbound lane into the southbound lane and collided with the Expedition. The Fusion also got struck by a third vehicle; Ford F-250 driven by Steven Levitt, 62, heading southbound.

Danielle sustained major injuries from the crash and was declared deceased at the scene of the crash. The Expedition driver was taken to University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, while the Ford driver was not hurt.

“It is with a heavy heart we share that Danielle Walton, Shanna’s daughter and former resident of the New Legacy Home, passed away on Friday, December 11th. We grieve with her family and friends and ask that Shanna, Danielle’s sons, and extended family be covered in prayer during this time. We rejoice that Danielle knew and loved the Lord and take comfort in knowing that He is our hope.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 17th at 10:30 am at Church on the Rock South Campus.

The crash remains under investigation.
