Dan Laughlin former football coach of Mount Anthony Union High School has died

Dan Laughlin Death – Cause of Death – The news about the passing of Dan Laughlin was confirmed in a tweet made on the 14th of December 2021 by PBKC. Dan Laughlin was a former Mount Anthony Union High School head football coach. Laughlin ran the Green Mountain Race Track for the Rooney empire in Pownal from 1972 through 1990. Reports states that Laughlin served as a head coach at the Mount Anthony High School Patriots football team for 10 years before retiring in 1992. He led them to two Division I state championship games where they fell to Bruce Wheeler’s Essex Hornets.

Mount Anthony Union High School is the public high school serving Bennington, Vermont, as well as the towns of Shaftsbury, Woodford, and Pownal. As of the 2015–16 academic year, the school has about 969 students enrolled in grades 9-12 and has a faculty of nearly 100. Circumstances surrounding the death of Laughlin was not disclosed to the public at a later date. The funeral arrangement and obituary will be released to the public at a later date.

PBKC said in a tweet; “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dan Laughlin. Dan was not just a great coach, father, and friend, he was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Gone, but never forgotten.”
