Courtney Kovacs of West Salem dies in US 250 multi-car accident

Courtney A. Kovacs Death – Cause of Death : 22-year-old Courtney A. Kovacs, of West Salem, has lost her life in a three-car accident that took place on Monday night. The crash happened at approximately 10: 15 pm on US 250 near Smyser Road in Wayne County, Ohio. The woman was pronounced dead as a result of serious injuries suffered from the deadly crash.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, a 44-year-old Nova man was operating a Honda Pilot westbound on US 250 when he lost control of the car, crossed the centreline into the path of oncoming traffic, and crashed into Ford Focus driven by Kovacs. The impact of the collision caused the Ford to drift off the right side of the roadway, and the Honda spun out of control and was slammed into by an Acura operated by a 22-year-old Jeromesville man.

Following the collision, Kovacs sustained life-threatening injuries to which she succumbed to at the scene of the crash. The Honda driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Wooster Community Hospital for treatment, while the Acura driver received treatment at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

Courtney A. Kovacs’s obituary will be released by her family.
