Clayton Sain, of Polk County, North Carolina have died from the injury sustained in a serious accident on Saturday 9 October 2021. The 16-year-old is new to the Motorcross world, he had an accident on his first lap of practice.
Friends, family, and loved ones have posted across social media to mourn the passing of Clayton.
Jack Compton posted about the accident before his death
“So this weeks updated post is little different, Carly didn’t play and Jake raced at muddy creek and again was a little off. He had bike troubles, but still managed overall 4th in 250c against awesome competition. This post is about something bigger, Saturday morning a special young man -Clayton Sain – had a serious accident his first lap of practice. This 16yr old champion is in a coma and in critical condition on oxygen, fighting for his life. I know I’m new to the motorcross world, and have only been in it for little over a year, but it’s just like our church family. When our brothers and sisters are down, we hold their hands up just like Aaron did in the Bible for Moses. I only know this young man from seeing him on the gates beside my Jake and battling in races, but this hits close to home. This isn’t about likes or comments, it’s about people who will come together to pray and fast, I’ve seen God’s miracles many of times in my own life, and with my wife and kids! Please hold this family up in your prayers and believe with us for a full, and complete healing! There’s also a GO Fund Me for his family I’ll share, any amount will help! 1000 $1’s adds up to a lot. Please share this to spread the word. Shae Addair Compton.”

“Here at the shop we are all sad and mourning the loss of Clayton Sain. Clayton was in our shop weekly, we often made weekend plans based on what track he would be ridding at and not to mention the long-lasting relationship with the Sain family. This is a tough loss for everyone. Please lift the Sain family in prayer as well as those from the MX community that knew and loved Clayton. We find comfort in knowing he served a living God that welcomed him into his eternal home and that we will one day see him again.”

“Please continue to pray for this sweet family. RIP Clayton Sain🙏🙏🙏
Carla and I would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support from our family and friends. Clayton went to be with the Lord Jesus late last night(10/12). While Carla and I would like to talk and respond to text messages. social media, etc… we can’t at this time. We are taking the time with our other children to focus on Christ and how he blessed us with all 6 of our children. We love Clayton and thank the Lord for the time he gave us with him. Thank you to all in the MX community that has supported and prayed for us.
Jason and Carla Sain.”

“Clayton Sain, buddy…
You lived such a fun-filled life. When I think of you, I think of someone who wasn’t scared of anything. Someone who loved and cared so much for people. I praise Jesus that you knew him as your Lord and Savoir. Thank you for loving Coty Flynn the way that you did. West Points Youth is going to miss your love and laughter you brought. We’re hurting so bad right now but I know you’re not. We will see you soon, bud. 🤍”
